The future is not based upon the past, IF you make a
positive effort towards change in the present.
Conscious reinforcement MP3
This should be listened to from time to time to reinforce what you need to do consciously to fight stress.
A. The Law of Reverse Action:
Don’t try so hard. One of the most powerful laws of the mind states: the harder you try to do something, the harder it is to do it.
Try to remember a name, a number or some other bit of information. The harder you try, the harder it is to remember. But when you relax, the information will almost always come to mind. This powerful law is one of the main reasons why we have so much trouble breaking bad habits.
You MUST learn to relax:
Your mind and body will always work better in a relaxed state. A runner makes a great example. If the runner tries too hard, the muscles will tighten up causing him to lose the smooth muscle coordination needed to run fast.
The same thing happens to the mind. If you try too hard your mind freezes up. That includes your motivation, creativity and willpower freezing up.
You’ll notice that I deliberately use this law of reverse action in Part 2 when I ask you to try to feel stress in a situation. So that the harder you try to feel the stress the harder it will be and the more you will relax.
B. Start With Yourself:
I also believe that if you want a calm, peaceful, happy and successful life you must start with yourself. I’ve personally seen thousands of people throughout the world change their relationships with themselves and others by first changing their own attitudes.
Don’t worry about others; concentrate on yourself. Don’t blame others; concentrate on yourself. Don’t concentrate on the past or the future, live in the present and think about how you can make today better; the future will take care of itself.
Positive thinking does not work – without positive action.
You just can’t sit around wishing for things. So use this program as instructed because your mind is like a muscle. The more you exercise it properly, the stronger and healthier it becomes.
